Who We Are
TSCC’s Children’s Ministry is for infants through Grade 5. All class opportunities provide a safe and fun environment where children can experience God’s love for them through relevant Bible teaching, drama, music, discussion, and age-appropriate activities. Children will gather in classrooms, where teachers help foster relational and spiritual growth through lessons, age-appropriate games, conversations, and interaction with one another.
Our mission and purpose is to continue to join together with families as we lead children into a growing, life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ. In order to accomplish that goal, we believe the Children’s Ministry at Tulip Street Christian Church is worth the BEST of all we have to give. That means that we commit the best use of our resources, the best use of our Children’s Ministry staff, the best use of our volunteers, and the best use of our time to strive for excellence in our efforts to lead our children to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
With each level of learning, our goal is to equip our children with what is needed so that they are prepared to move forward in their spiritual walk after they have left the Children’s Ministy.
Nursery goal - “Jesus” His name is to be shared with all nursery age children.
Preschool goal – “Loves” Stories of God/Jesus showing His great love for them and others are introduced.
K-1st grade goal – “Me” Teaching children that faith becomes personal.
2nd – 3rd grade goal – “This I Know” Explanation of the reason for the faith and why we trust Jesus with our lives.
4th – 5th grade goal – “Yes, Jesus Loves Me!” Preparing children to face the world outside the church. Children are able to share what they believe and why - especially with other children.
